Notification channels

When a monitor goes down or recovers, Elerio sends a notification over the channels you've chosen. Channels are configured per monitor — critical production can go to several places at once, while noisy test targets stay quiet.

Email

Emails are sent to your confirmed account address. Every message has a one-click unsubscribe link. If the address starts bouncing or you unsubscribe, Elerio automatically stops emailing it.

Email is available from the Supporter plan and up (see Plans).

Telegram

The most convenient channel for teams. Linking takes a couple of clicks:

  1. In the Notifications section, click to connect Telegram.
  2. Open the bot link and confirm the link-up.

After that, alerts arrive in your private chat with the bot. You can unlink the account there too, in settings.

Browser push notifications

Notifications right in your browser — they work even when the Elerio tab is closed. You allow notifications in the browser once. You can connect several devices; each is managed separately.

Webhook

Sending incidents to your own URL — to integrate with PagerDuty, Slack, Mattermost or any receiver of your own. It's a bigger topic of its own — see Webhook integrations.

Warnings

Besides "down" / "recovered" signals, Elerio sends warnings — for example, when a TLS certificate is about to expire. They arrive over the same channels but don't get mixed up with incident notifications and aren't repeated more than once a day.
